Post Oak Baptist Church is seeking a born-again believer who is called by God to the ministry to serve as our Associate Pastor and Minister of Students. One who holds to the 2000 Baptist Faith & Message, supports the Cooperative Program, and is passionate about carrying out the Great Commission, both locally and globally.
Post Oak is a SBC & KBC church located in South Central KY that is Kingdom Focused, Mission Minded, and Totally Committed.
The primary responsibilities of this position would be to focus on the student ministry of Post Oak in the areas of discipleship, evangelism, and missions. This person will work with an established youth committee to plan and coordinate activities and events that help accomplish goals in the above-mentioned areas.
And as a broader reach related to student ministry there will be an additional expectation to engage with recent graduates and young adults to keep them connected and serving within the context of the local church.
The secondary responsibilities of this position would be to assist the Senior Pastor in planning, coordinating, and directing the overall ministry of Post Oak Baptist Church. Examples may include outreach, mission trips & projects, pastoral care, preaching/teaching, etc.
Experience in student ministry is strongly desired along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field of ministry. Baptist seminary training, or the pursuit of such training, is also preferred, but not required. It is suggested that the candidate be familiar with various technologies including, but not limited to, Google, Pages, Microsoft, Social Media platforms, etc.
