Children's Minister

The Director of Children’s Ministry is responsible for creating a dynamic and comprehensive ministry to minster to the families and children at First Baptist Church of Eddyville.  This position is part-time.

Qualifications

• The person must be a baptized follower of Jesus. They must be living a life of personal holiness and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and will join EFBC as a member.
• Has a passion and desire to see kids grow in knowledge and love of Jesus.
• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience working with kids.

Responsibilities

• Will be responsible to and under the supervision of the Pastor.
• 20 Hours/Week with 5 of those hours being office time and staff meetings. 
• Shall establish a clear vision for the Children’s Ministry that promotes the healthy discipleship and faith education of children and families with clearly communicated goals.
• Plan and coordinate various children activities throughout the year.
• Shall help facilitate and work with volunteer leaders to help manage all areas related to the children including, but not limited to nursery, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Wednesday Night Activities, Children’s Camp, and Vacation Bible School.
• Shall establish a clear budget and operate within the budget.
• Plan, coordinate, oversee, and delegate to ensure that all children’s ministry activities and classes are set up to succeed with healthy, sound curriculum and volunteers.
• Support, encourage, and train volunteers regularly.
• Care for the spiritual needs and well-being of the children of EFBC.
• Maintain a healthy social media presence on platforms pertaining to kids ministry.
• Shall have healthy communication with all staff and volunteers.
• Support and aide in ministry of the church and church-wide events.
