The Kentucky Air National Guard (123d Airlift Wing, Louisville, KY) is seeking qualified individuals to serve as chaplains in a part-time capacity (with excellent pay and benefits).
An Air Force chaplain is:
• A commissioned officer
• A practitioner of one’s own faith
• A confidential counselor
• A champion for religious freedom
• A spiritual caregiver to Airmen, their families and authorized individuals
• An advisor to leadership
THE CHAPLAIN ACCESSION PROCESS
Eligibility requirements
• Master of Divinity or qualifying postgraduate degree (72-hour minimum degree at an accredited institution)
• Undergraduate degree (120 Hour minimum degree at an accredited institution)
• Two years of ministry experience that is compatible with the duties of a military chaplain
• Meet physical requirements (weight standards and ability to pass PT Test)
• Appointment by age 40 (age 42 for prior service)
Needed Items
• DD Form 2088 Ecclesiastical Endorsement
• College and Seminary Transcripts
• Resume with detailed ministry experience
• Wing chaplain letter of recommendation
• Current/Prior military service documentation if applicable
New chaplains attend the full 9-week OTS-V (Officer Training School), then BCC (Basic Chaplain Course, 4 weeks) within two years of appointment.
