Porter Memorial Baptist Church is searching for a new Facilities Administrator to oversee and manage all buiding/grounds needs. Porter is located in Lexington, Kentucky near the University of Kentucky and is well located in a growing area of the city. Porter is a growing church, averaging approximately 1,100 in morning worship.

Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee scheduling and performance of all maintenance and custodial needs of facilities & grounds to meet the daily and long term needs of the church, its ministries, events, and all tenants as needed.
Work with the church administrator in developing a facilities and grounds budget for each year and operate within that budget.
Oversee 1.5 Maintenance and 2 Custodial personnel
Responsible for employee hiring and release, as required and on a quarterly basis conduct performance reviews of all full time direct reports.
Create and update a daily work schedule for maintenance personnel
Hold daily meetings with maintenance staff to review and prioritize required work schedule tasks. (15 – 20 minutes)
Meet daily with custodial staff to review cleaning and setup needs (5 minutes)
Ensure room setups of all Lifegroup classrooms and any special events are performed in a timely and correct manner.
Maintain all church owned equipment and property in a safe operating condition.
Ensure church air conditioning and heating units are set at proper temperatures for all areas at all times. Respond to changes in a timely manner as needed.
Respond to any: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry needs as they arise, using internal staff or external experts as needed.
Address any maintenance and cleaning needs as they arise on a daily basis.
Work with outside contractors to secure bids on maintenance supplies, service contracts and construction needs as they arise.
Physically support and Coordinate all “self-perform” and external construction activities as needed.
Responsible for church van maintenance and repairs, to include ensuring vehicles have enough gas each week.
Review church Calendar software to ensure scheduled events are supported and that there are no room conflicts
Responsible to ensure church doors are programmed/scheduled to be opened and closed for any scheduled events as stated in church Calendar software.
Coordinate monthly Fire Drills with school principal
Respond to Security and Fire calls as they are received
Ensure proper inventory of custodial supplies to meet church needs
Supervise, train, and direct the working schedules of all employees and volunteers involved in the maintenance of the building and grounds.
Ensure required daily, weekly and seasonal maintenance and required inspections are completed on schedule.
