Responsibilities include choosing music conducive for worship including traditional church music, contemporary choruses, and songs. The successful Worship Leader will respond to the Pastor's leading. The candidate will be responsible for leading the congregation in worship, assisting the pastor with worship planning, and submit worship information to the church office for inclusion in the bulletin by or before the given deadline. The ability to develop and direct choirs is not immediately required but is a valued skill. The successful candidate will have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, have a daily walk with God, and have the ability to lead others in congregational worship. The candidate should have a good speaking voice and the ability to lead by singing. The ability to play the piano and other instruments is a plus. The ability to write material for the church website and social media outlets is beneficial and the ability to use social media to develop relationships and communicate is important. The candidate will need to be present on Sunday mornings and occasional, additional church services. An understanding of sound reinforcement, PowerPoint Presentations and other worship software, licensing and copyright requirements (CCLI, Songselect, Planning Center) as well as video projection is a plus.
