Position Summary
The Executive Pastor of Administration and Family Ministries will serve as a key member of Gano Baptist Church’s leadership team, focusing on coordinating essential administrative support and fostering youth and family engagement. This role emphasizes collaboration with ministry leaders and oversight of day-to-day administrative functions, guiding structured support for youth and family ministries to create a foundation for future growth. Working closely with the Senior Pastor, the Executive Pastor will ensure alignment of church initiatives with the church’s mission and vision, setting practical and achievable goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Leadership
- Support for Senior Pastor: Act as the primary administrative assistant to the Senior Pastor by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and organizing church-wide events. This includes preparing agendas, tracking key tasks, and ensuring the Pastor’s priorities are effectively addressed.
- Church Communications (Oversight): Oversee church communication platforms, such as bulletins, newsletters, and social media, ensuring content promotes upcoming events, shares ministry updates, and reflects the church’s Collaborate with ministry leaders on special projects to customize communications as needed. Coordinate with the church Secretary to organize and schedule all events effectively.
- Event and Project Coordination: Plan and organize special church events with an eye for detail and strong logistical Responsibilities include coordinating with ministry leaders, arranging venues, ordering supplies, and setting up volunteer schedules to ensure a smooth, cohesive experience for attendees.
2. Youth and Family Ministry Support
- Youth Program Development (Oversight and Planning for Future Growth): Oversee and plan for the future of the youth program, establishing a foundational framework for a future full-time Youth Organize weekly gatherings focused on Bible study, group discussions, and activities that engage and inspire youth. Lead special youth events, such as camps, retreats, and mission trips, designed to deepen faith and foster fellowship.
- Support for Children’s Ministry: Work alongside the Children’s Minister to ensure children’s programs (e.g., Sunday School, Vacation Bible School) run smoothly. Provide assistance with lesson planning, event setup, and volunteer coordination, creating a safe, welcoming environment for children’s spiritual development.
- Volunteer Recruitment and Development: Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteers to support youth and family ministry programs. Focus on identifying individuals passionate about ministry work who can assist with events and weekly programming. Organize volunteer training sessions to ensure all volunteers are prepared, supported, and motivated.
3. Special Areas of Focus
- Coordination of Key Initiatives: Lead and coordinate special focus areas that align with church needs and priorities, such as family engagement events, small group development, or parent-child workshops. Plan, schedule, and collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure these initiatives meet church goals and enhance congregational

Work Hours and Schedule
The Executive Pastor is expected to maintain a regular 40-hour work week with flexibility for church events and other responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field is preferred but not required. Advanced theological training (e.g., Master of Divinity) is valued.
- Experience: 3-5 years in ministry roles, with a focus on administrative support, youth ministry, or family ministry.
Skills:
- Project Management and Organization: Proven ability to coordinate structured, impactful events and programs.
- Communication (Oversight Role): Strong verbal and written skills to connect with diverse congregants, especially youth and families. Ability to oversee media management, ensuring alignment with church goals.
