Cadiz Baptist Church – Cadiz, KY

Cadiz Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Pastor of Youth and Children to lead and disciple the next generation in a Christ-centered, Bible-based ministry. We are a conservative, Southern Baptist church located in a small, close-knit rural community in Western Kentucky, committed to reaching and equipping young people with the Gospel.

Position Overview:
The Associate Pastor of Youth and Children will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and leading ministries that nurture the spiritual growth of children and youth. This role involves working alongside the Senior Pastor, Youth Committee, Children's Committee, and other ministry leaders to implement outreach programs, discipleship initiatives, and Christ-centered activities that engage and equip young people for lifelong faith.

Key Responsibilities:
-Plan and oversee youth and children’s discipleship programs, including Sunday School, youth groups, and outreach events.
-Develop and implement evangelistic outreach efforts to engage the next generation in the church and community.
-Work with the Youth and Children's Committees to develop annual ministry plans and budgets.
-Lead and equip volunteers, teachers, and parents to disciple and mentor students.
-Organize and oversee special events such as VBS, camps, retreats, and mission trips.
-Ensure alignment of youth and children’s ministries with the church’s overall vision and doctrine.
-Maintain regular communication with parents, church leadership, and the congregation regarding ministry updates.
-Participate in church-wide ministry efforts, staff meetings, and occasional preaching/teaching as needed.

Qualifications:
-A clear, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a strong sense of calling to youth and children’s ministry.
-Agreement with and commitment to Southern Baptist doctrine and theology.
-Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in ministry, theology, or a related field; experience in youth/children’s ministry is strongly preferred.
-Strong leadership, organizational, and relational skills.
-Ability to connect with children, youth, and their families in a meaningful way.
-A heart for discipleship, evangelism, and church growth.
