Create, manage, and direct all aspects of Student Ministries (6th-12th grade) which includes Sunday School, Sunday Night Youth, Mid-Week Activities, Special Events, and Mission Activities. Foster a strong education program through building relationships with teachers, students, parents, and church leaders that strengthen the students’ commitment ot the church and growth in faith in Jesus Christ. To introduce, instruct, and nurture students in their Christian faith and in life through Bible study, prayer, fellowship, worship, service, and evangelism.
Pay: $45,000
General Qualifications For This Position:
- Minimum of a 4-year college degree specializing in Student Ministry
- High energy, entrepreneurial, and charismatic with deep organizational skills
- Desire to work in youth ministry as a way to serve God and advance His kingdom
- Knowledge and skills to serve in Student Ministry
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to make changes, corrections and solve problems quickly under pressure
- Clearance of criminal background check
- Abide by all personnel policies of First Baptist Church La Center
- Self-starter and high degree of discipline and strategic focus

Specific Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Recruit and train Sunday School, Sunday Night, Mid-Week, and Special Event Leaders and Volunteers
- Arrange for a variety of activities, both at the church and away, that will attract many different students to the church and hold their interest
- Prepare and manage budget for the Student Ministry
- Manage the distribution and allocation of curriculum/crafts/supplies for workers
- Schedule and coordinate placement of volunteer leaders and communicate with leaders as needed
- Plan and support the student’s special events including marketing efforts- website, social media, printed materials, etc.
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Student Ministry
- Participate in staff meetings
- Participate in outreach to student families (such as VBS)
- Communicate Student Ministry activities to the church through periodic reports (business meeting, newsletter, bulletins, worship service announcements, etc)
- Ensure student facilities are properly used and taken care of
