Small country church seeking an experienced bi-vocational pastor to bring God's word, to lead, and become part of our church family. A parsonage is available for part-time or full-time use.
Skills/Training/Certification
- Baptist Ordination Certificate
- Affiliated with the KY Baptist Convention and Cooperative Program
- Effective preacher/teacher
- Good communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Compassionate for all
Primary Functions:
- The pastor shall be responsible to the church to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ using the King James Version of the Bible. The pastor will state agreement with the articles of faith as set forth by the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 version). The pastor will always comply with the Cow Creek Baptist Church By-Laws and Constitution.
- Plan and conduct Sunday worship services, deliver sermons, and lead all ordinances of communion and baptism.
- Work with all church officers including Deacons, committee members, and members to organize, coordinate and plan the overall church program while offering guidance for the development of long-term plans/goals for Cow Creek Baptist Church's growth and ministry.
Secondary Functions (as your time allows):
- Visiting, calling, or texting church members including but not limited to the homebound (shut in), nursing home residents, and those in hospitals. Visitation (Visiting/Calling/Texting) is considered a good and needed method to grow closer, uplift, and support each other. (This request would be shared with all the members of the church)
- When possible, conduct counseling sessions, perform wedding ceremonies and funerals for members.
