Position Title: Worship Pastor / Ministry Director
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Description: As our White Plains Baptist Church Worship Pastor / Ministry Director, you will be an active church member who works well with all types of people, carries out the mission of White Plains Baptist Church, creates a collaborative worship team culture, and provides spiritual, and administrative leadership to all aspects of the Worship Ministry, namely Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
The Work: Our Worship Pastors / Ministry Director will provide general ministry leadership to the worship and tech teams, along with the congregation while working closely with the Senior Pastor to set and follow the vision for the Worship Ministry. The Worship Pastor / Ministry Director will encourage, love, and support the members of the worship and tech teams while actively recruiting members for the teams.
A Week in the Life of our Worship Pastor / Ministry Director:
- Participate in regular team and one-on-one meetings.
- Work with Senior Pastor to plan worship services and culture.
- Build relationships with worship, tech teams, and congregational members.
- Prepare ProPresenter and Planning Center Services for worship services.
- Coach and encourage volunteers.
- Recruit and develop Worship and Tech Team volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor or his designee.
Time Commitment: This is a part-time position equal to about 15 hours, including Sundays from 8:00 to 11:30am, and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30pm, with the remaining hours set aside for planning, volunteer recruiting, training, and relationship building with congregational members. You will be part of our Ministry Leaders Team. This team meets every other month on the second Sunday afternoon of the month.
Salary: $15,000 per year.
