Youth Pastor

Youth Pastor (6^th-12^th Grade) DEADLINE April 30th

RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Pastor / Personnel Committee

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The Youth Pastor will lead and organize an effective youth ministry, implementing fellowship, worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and evangelism. The overall objective of the Youth Pastor is to make Christ like disciples of our youth, and to train and mobilize them to make Christ like disciples.

2. Recruit, train and shepherd volunteers with diverse gifts and personalities and provide biblical counseling and spiritual direction to team leaders on an individual basis as needed.

3. Administer and plan numerous youth programs, such as, group outings, evangelism, retreats, camps, mission trips, VBS and Bible studies. Create fun and meaningful opportunities for all youth to connect and grow together.

4. Overseeing, growing, organizing, and coordinating the church’s youth ministry on a weekly basis with emphasis on Sundays, Wednesdays, and any other youth related events.

5. Counsel, spend time with and disciple students while developing positive relationships with them and their families. Maintain contact with students and parents, keeping them informed of ongoing activities. Keep parents updated on ministry strategies and plans in a way that encourages partnership and involvement.

6. Prepare and manage an annual budget for recommendation to the budget committee for program events, materials, equipment, and supplies.

7. Perform all other duties as assigned by the pastor.
