Antioch Baptist Church, Blairsville, GA Senior Pastor
The Position: The Pastor Search Committee at Antioch Baptist Church in Blairsville, Georgia invites you to consider with us the possibility of your calling as Senior Pastor. Our members desire a Southern Baptist combining doctrinally-sound preaching and teaching with the heart of a pastor/shepherd, who can minister to a multi-generational congregation. You must be a good steward of church resources, as well as effective in working with church staff members and program directors. Key characteristics, consistent with First Timothy 3.1-7 and Titus 1.5-9, include humility, integrity, kindness and empathy, plus the ability to engage with all age groups. Your wife should be supportive of your calling, and actively engaged in your ministry. We are open to various preaching styles, as well as different worship formats. Expect to work collaboratively with the congregation to create a vision for how Antioch can be most impactful.
Minimum Qualifications: four-year degree, paired with three-to-five years of full-time experience in church ministry as an ordained senior/associate/assistant pastor in a Southern Baptist church.
Preferred Qualifications: four-year degree plus seminary, paired with six-or-more years of full-time experience in church ministry as an ordained senior/associate/assistant pastor in a Southern Baptist church.
The Church: Antioch Baptist Church is affiliated with, and financially supports, the Southern Baptist Convention. We offer ministries for the entire family, including Sunday School, weekday Bible studies, Wednesday evening small group studies, AWANA, and age-graded activities for children and youth.
