Music Minister
Farmdale Baptist Church in Frankfort, Ky is seeking a part time Music Minister.

We are looking for a Music Minister who delights in the Lord with all their heart, seeks after humility in their musical ability and encourages others in brotherly affection. We desire our worship to be characterized by spiritual depth and simplicity
that engages the intellect and affections of our congregation to inspire both an awe and intimacy with God. The qualified candidate will know and love God and His word, and will be a genuine disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition, Christian witness will be evidenced by the following:
- Strong knowledge of God’s word with the ability to apply the word to everyday personala nd congregational life
- Visible fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)
- History of commitment to the local church through membership and service
- Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)
Responsibilities:
The primary objective of the Minister of Music is to provide spiritual guidance and direction to the worship and music ministry of Farmdale Baptist Church and will be considered a member of the ministerial staff of the church. All aspects of music for worship services will be the Minister of Music’s responsibility.
This includes:
• Confer with pastors to make sure music contains same theological themes as the upcoming Sunday morning sermon
• Preparing and leading the congregational music
• Lead worship in such a way that people's attention will not be diverted from the glory of God by shoddy ministry nor by excess.
• Coordinating and leading the praise band and praise team
• Serve as worship leader which includes recruitment, training, coaching and overseeing volunteers, singers, musicians.
• Seek unity for congregation in choices of music and order of service while combining historic worship with recent styles in a blended service.
• Coordinating and leading choral music presentations working with adults and children
• Overseeing audio and visual equipment and related technicians
• Maintain proficiency in voice and instrument.
• Develop annual budget for worship ministry and oversee spending in cooperation with the finance commitee
• Preparing or overseeing the preparation of all slide presentations for worship and other events
• Other duties as assigned related to church worship and music
All responsibilities should be planned and executed in cooperation with the pastors.
Farmdale is affiliated with Kentucky Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. Farmdale has adopted the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
