Tates Creek Student Pastor

The Tates Creek Student Pastor will provide oversight, direction, and leadership of both Middle School and High School Ministries at the Tates Creek Campus. The primary focus will be to function as the shepherd over IBC students, parents, staff, and key volunteer leadership. 

Pastoral

• Provide caring pastoral ministry and biblical counsel with students, their parents, and their leaders. 
• Preach and teach the Word of God accurately. 
• Lead parents of students to be effective, biblical parents and primary spiritual leaders in their homes.
• Equip students to understand what it means to be fully devoted followers of Jesus.
• Provide churchwide speaking support as assigned by the Lead Pastor. 
• Empower students to create an outreach culture within their schools and neighborhoods.
• Galvanize parents, leaders, and members of the congregation to build heart connections with students and for student ministry. 

Discipleship & Worship

• Develop weekly Bible study open to all students. 
• Be responsible for the planning, crafting, leading, and executing regular worship services geared specifically for students. 
• Create a platform for students to step into deeper discipleship roles where there is evidence of a firm decision to be disciples of Jesus, who welcome accountability, and who have made commitments to attendance and preparation. 
• Coordinate an overall curriculum plan, leading to properly sequenced, balanced, and comprehensive discipleship for students.
• Invest and build volunteer leaders who will model and lead in the discipleship of students. 
• Create a pathway for new students to successfully assimilate into IBC.
