Corinth Baptist Church in London, KY is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Pastor.
Established in 1935, Corinth Baptist Church seeks to live out its motto—"From the Word to the World!"—through sound Biblical preaching and instruction, equipping the saints, spurring one another to good works, and reaching those far from Jesus through local, state, national, and international missions. We are in London KY, a family-oriented community on I-75 between Lexington KY and Knoxville TN offering the best of small-town culture and accessible to amenities in larger cities.
We are seeking a Senior Pastor who has
- A clear sense of call to this ministry and this church
- An unequivocable commitment to the authority and authenticity of God’s word
- Effective communication skills applied to expository preaching, engaging teaching and genuine personal conversation
- Evidence of a commitment to following God’s leadership through the Holy Spirit in personal spiritual maturity and all matters of the church
- A heart of compassion for the saints and sinners of all ages
- The ability to collaboratively lead staff, lay leaders and members to facilitate spiritual and numerical growth
- A healthy balance of love for and commitment to his family and the church
- An impeccable moral reputation and unquestionable financial record in all areas of his life
Additional Qualifications
- Master's of Divinity or above preferred (but will consider commensurate experience/education)
- 5+ years of experience as a pastor
- Vision for growth and a community of believers across the generational spectrum, especially young families
- Passion for reaching the lost and for missions
- Genuine love for God's people at every stage of life
- Doctrinal alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)
- Support for local, state, and national offices of the Southern Baptist Convention
