The Children’s Minister has a heart that longs to see children come to know the love of Jesus and share that love with others as they grow into mature followers of Jesus. They will partner with our parents and volunteers to create a culture of evangelism and discipleship in our Children’s ministry.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A committed Christian, embodying a moral character reflective of the Christian lifestyle.
- Possessing flexibility, teachability, and sensitivity to effectively follow God's leadership.
- Inherently a servant at heart, showcasing high self-motivation, organizational skills, and a commitment to humble servant leadership.
- Proficient in team building and leadership, showcasing efficiency in time management and a natural ability to connect with people.
- Well-versed in working with elementary-age children and their families, committed to continuous learning through conferences and seminars.
- Equipped with essential skills in leadership, teaching, organization, administration, and technology.
- Holding an undergraduate degree in an appropriate field, with seminary preferred.
- Bringing significant ministry experience to the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ministry for children (K-5th grade) and families, fostering a deep understanding of Jesus' love and nurturing mature followers.
- Identify, equip, and empower a dedicated Children’s Ministry Leadership Team, overseeing various areas such as Sunday morning activities, curriculum selection, specialized ministries, outreach and family events, and volunteer coordination.
- Lead and support volunteers in the ministry's mission to help children become devoted followers of Jesus, emphasizing love for God, people, and disciple-making.
- Establish a ministry for children with special needs and their families.
- Manage materials, equipment, and supplies for Children’s Ministries.
- Develop and manage an annual budget for the Children’s Ministry.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration within the staff.
