Lead Pastor

Rockhouse Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a bi-vocational pastor.  We are located just outside of Hazard, Kentucky, nestled in the Appalachain Mountains. 

Qualities/Characteristics

 The Pastor will have:

• A clear sense of calling to this ministry and a vision for our church.
• A solid financial track record regarding church/ministry finances.
• Good organizational and leadership skills.
• Solid preaching/teaching ability of the Baptist ministry.
• Present self in a professional and Christ-like manner in services as well as public. 

Duties

 The Pastor will:

• Prepare for and conduct worship services – Sunday (morning and evening), Wednesday (evening), and any special services.
• Lead in observance of the ordinances.
• Coordinate with the deacon and committees in leading the church in outreach programs and goals.
• Lead efforts for connecting with the community in a variety of ways to open doors for ministry and evangelism.
• Lead efforts to increase attendance and participation in church worship and activities.

• Affiliations and Doctrinal Alignment

   The Pastor will:

  • Support the ministry and witness of the Kentucky Baptist Convention.
  • Support the Southern Baptist Convention as the primary means of involvement in international and North American missions. 

  Compensation

  Starting salary is $1600 monthly. Housing option.
