Position Type: Part-Time (15-20 Hours Weekly)
Salary: $12,500 ($240/wk). Negotiable based on experience

Job Summary:
South Campbellsville Baptist Church (South Church) located in Campbellsville, Kentucky is a multigenerational congregation committed to loving God, loving people, and making disciples. We value meaningful worship, biblical teaching, and community engagement as we seek to glorify God and share the hope of Jesus Christ with the world.
South Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Leader/Pastor to disciple and lead students in their faith journey. This position is 15-20 hours per week and is ideal for someone who is strong in teaching/preaching, relational ministry, and student discipleship.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead & Teach – Plan and lead Wednesday night student ministry meetings with strong biblical teaching.
Sunday Involvement – Attend Sunday morning services, engaging with students and the church family. Serving in other roles as needed.
Discipleship & Mentorship – Foster spiritual growth through small groups, Bible studies, and one-on-one mentoring.
Event Planning – Organize youth events and activities to build community and encourage spiritual development.
Youth Camp – Plan and take students to camp annually, ensuring a meaningful experience.
Outreach & Evangelism – Develop strategies to reach unchurched students in the community.
Volunteer Development – Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to assist in youth ministry.
Collaboration – Work alongside church leadership to integrate students into the broader church family.
Encourage & Support Students – Build relationships by celebrating students’ achievements and milestones, occasionally attending ball games, recitals, and other events to show support.
Communication – Keep students, parents, and the church informed about ministry events and vision through email, social media, and announcements.

Qualifications:

  • A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects biblical values.
  • Strong preacher/teacher with sound theological understanding.
  • Agreement with the church’s statement of faith and doctrine.
  • Organizational skills to effectively plan and execute youth ministry activities and services.
  • Ability to connect with middle and high school students in a meaningful and engaging way.
  • Team player with a servant’s heart, willing to collaborate with church leadership and volunteers.
  • Previous experience in youth ministry is preferred but not required.
