Job Description: Pianist/Keyboardist
Part Time
Must be a committed and faithful Christian and must believe in and support the work and ministry of the local church. The pianist/keyboardist must be a regular attendee of all worship services of the church and will report to the Pastor, Minister of Music and the Personnel Committee.
If at any time the staff member should find themselves in a position of disagreement with the doctrinal staements of the church, the fundamental direction of the church, or being in such disagreement with the leadership and /or staff so as to be unable to submit to leadership, they shall gracefully submit their resignation.
REQUIREMENTS
1). This person should be knowledgeble in playing both the piano and keyboard in order to play both traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music.
2). Individual would be expected to become a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church, if not currently a member.
NOTE: This is a part time position as noted above, working approximately 4.5 hours per week.
Band practice beginning at 9:30 am Sunday mornings.
Sunday morning worship service beginning at 10:40am, ending at approximately 12:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
1). Responsible for playing piano and or keyboardduring Sunday morning worship services and once a month (during spring and summer months only), for a Sunday evening prayer service from from 6:00pm to 7:00 pm.
2). Accompany adult choir and praise team rehersals as follows:
- Wednesday evening band and praise team practice from 6:00-7:00pm.
- Wednesday evening choir practice from 7:00-8:00pm.
3). Assist and accompany soloists, quartets, trios, etc.
4). Play piano and/ or keyboard for revivals or any special music as requested by the Minister of Music.
