The Opportunity

First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington, KY is prayerfully searching for a Part-time Staff member to minister to children (cradle to 5^th grade).  The responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1) Developing/administering a plan to disciple children; 2) Recruiting, enlisting, and training volunteers; and 3) Coordinating/leading special projects such as Vacation Bible School and summer camp.

The Congregation

First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington, KY is a multi-generational church with a heart for discipleship and missions.  The church ministers to 350+ people weekly. The church adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.  www.fbcmw.org

The Community

Mt. Washington is a vibrant and growing small town located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Louisville, KY.  It is recognized as one of the safest communities for children and families in Kentucky.  The city’s Bullitt East High School has been named a “school of distinction,” ranked in the top 10 performing schools in Kentucky.  The town’s festivals and parks help to maintain ‘a small town feel’ but with all the nearby amenities of the city of Louisville.           

The Qualifications

• The individual is to be one who has ordered his life in compliance with the teaching of Scripture and the example of our Lord.
• Completed or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
• Organized, possessing good people skills, self-motivated, able to work well individually and in group
• Adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
