Overview
Steubenville Baptist Church (SBC) is seeking a Family Life Youth Pastor to lead, equip, and teach youth and children ministries. We are in the heart of Lake Cumberland in Monticello, KY. SBC has dynamic youth and Awana programs with established lay leadership. We are looking for someone who can lead teams, delegate, coordinate events and disciple youth and children with a servant and missions heart. The Family Life Youth Pastor will work alongside the vision, guidance and direction of the Lead Pastor, the Youth and Children’s Committees. This position is full-time and on-site.
Accountability:
Under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, Personnel Committee and will meet regularly with the Deacon body.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong presence in Wayne County culture (school system, athletic events, festivals, community events, etc.).
Lead and work alongside volunteers to develop youth-led worship and study for youth group on Sunday nights and Awana for children on Wednesday nights and other events (Youth Sunday, VBS, Way to Antioch, mission trips, concerts, conferences, summer camps, youth rallies, etc.) as deemed appropriate. Equip and train volunteers to execute biblical vision.
Plan special events (trips, conferences, concerts youth rallies, etc.) for youth and children on a regular basis (monthly or bi-monthly recommended).
Promote spiritual and participation growth in youth and children ministries by maintaining a culture and atmosphere of joy and excitement. Ensure spiritual growth in youth and children by maintaining or creating curriculum and teaching.
Prepare and implement budget for all youth and children’s activities within guidelines advised by the Financial committee and approved annually by the church body.
Engage in outreach to promote SBC youth and children's programs. Meet with new families and potential families throughout the week as needed.
Web based communications and administrative duties as needed.
Preach from the pulpit as often as required by the Lead Pastor.

Compensation:
Compensation will be determined by several factors such as experience, degree, and skill set. The range will be from $45,000 - $60,000 base salary.
Qualifications:
- Ordained through The Southern Baptist Church
- Seminary degree preferred. Appropriate experience, undergraduate degree in Christian ministry or related field considered.
- Shall have personal character and integrity that reflects qualifications listed in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3.
