The Journey Southern Illinois, a Bible-centered church, is seeking a pastoral leader for our Student and Worship ministries. As a church, we are passionate about discipling the next generation and leading our church family in meaningful, God-honoring worship. This position must be Gospel-focused as the leader exercises pastoral oversight and shepherding care over our students, families, and body. This leadership will be manifested in cultivating a vibrant student ministry and leading and engaging our body in biblically grounded worship.
Essential duties include leading a comprehensive discipleship ministry for students, leading worship services (vocally and instrumentally) through song, equipping and training volunteers for both ministries, and maintaining relevant budgets.
Essential qualifications include a clear and growing relationship with Jesus, agreement with church doctrine and beliefs, passion for discipleship and building relationships, and demonstrated ability lead worship both vocally and instrumentally.
